Since
working at the Center
for Narrative Studies in Washington DC, I have become acutely aware of the power
of stories in all of life and especially family life. Life gets
so busy that we forget to to tell, listen and preserve these family treasures. Yet not
to do so would be a tragedy.
As
I sit with different family
members on trips home, I am consciously remembering them for this
collection. It is my hope that by feeding them back into the family for
sifting and expanding, we might all discover more of the Living Stories of the
Costello clan.
